Nor-Cote offers UV curable inks for the Large Format Point of Sale, Banner and Decal markets. The P.O.P. market provides graphics for promotional and signage display. The inks for this market are formulated to achieve adhesion to a wide range of materials with excellent weatherability and finishing properties. The four color process inks in this market segment are formulated to have exceptional printing properties allowing the printer to produce high quality graphics with consistent color and limited dot gain. Nor-Cote´s experience in providing functional inks for technical markets allows us a unique opportunity to blend that knowledge into the development of high quality graphic inks.
Intended Product Applications:
PX2-POLYXTREME Series is a UV curable ink system specially formulated for the Point of Purchase market requiring an extremely versatile ink for all substrates, at a low cost. This series has been formulated with a high performance resin system which provides unmatched adhesion properties while maintaining flexibility and hardness. With this versatility in properties, the PX2 will allow you to use one product in place of three, thus reducing inventory and cost per gallon. PX2 is manufactured using high-grade pigments that produce excellent opacity and a light-fast ink film. The PX2 Series does not contain N-Vinyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NVP).
The UV9 is an ultraviolet curable acrylic screen printing ink specifically formulated for multi-purpose use in Point of Purchase printing. This series demonstrates excellent adhesion properties while maintaining a high degree of flexibility for die-cutting. Formulated with premium light-fast pigments, the UV9 is an extremely durable outdoor system with very good opacity and fast cure speeds. The UV9 has a very high degree of reactivity for extremely high cure speeds, which works exceptionally well with in-line printers or carousel type presses. The UV9 does not contain N-Vinyl-2-Pyrrolidone. (NVP).
The UVB Series is a UV curable ink system specially formulated for the vinyl banner market requiring a high degree of flexibility for sewing. The UVB Series has been formulated with a high performance resin system that provides excellent flexibility and block resistance for 2-sided printing. This system has also been formulated with a high cross-linking density, which allows potential plasticizers to be sealed into the vinyl fabric, and not migrate through the ink film. UVB Series inks have been developed with the use of high-grade pigments, producing excellent opacity and a light fast ink film.
The XL6 Series is a UV curable ink system specifically formulated for pressure sensitive decal applications requiring exterior exposure up to five years. XL6 Series inks have been formulated with a high performance acrylated urethane which provides excellent flexibility and will not edge curl due to ink film shrinkage. This system also has been formulated with excellent adhesion properties for superior performance on pressure sensitive vinyl´s and print-treated polyesters. The XL6 Series has been formulated with the use of automotive grade pigments producing excellent opacity and a light fast ink film. (This product contains no NVP)
The GN Series is a UV curable ink system formulated to achieve adhesion to fluted polyolefin and polyolefin banner materials; with exterior lightfastness and weatherability in mind. This series is formulated with a resin system that allows for excellent durability while maintaining flexibility. Developed for end use on polyolefin materials, the GN Series provides excellent adhesion on most all P.O.P. substrates; including but not limited to: polystyrene, coated and uncoated card stock, rigid vinyl, PVC, pressure sensitive vinyl and some coated metals.
